Over 25 years in music and 12 albums into their own well-established brand of rock The Flaming Lips, formed in Oklahoma City in 1983, continue to build their own sonic paths into inner and outer space. Embryonic is highly experimental but never quite loses it's own rhythm set by front man Wayne Coyne and new drummer Derek Brown.The Flaming Lips, who put on a notoriously awesome live show featuring pageants of costumed characters and "gentle" crowd surfing will be playing on Saturday October 11th at Moog Fest in Asheville, North Carolina.
