Explode Into Colors were a three-piece band made up of Claudia Meza on vocals/bass with Lisa Schonberg and Heather Treadway. The trio gained a large following from 2008-2010 in Portland, Oregon by bringing their raucous and energetic sound to upscale venues like the Portland Museum in January of 2010 and at SXSW in 2009.It wasn't until the band's breakup in July of 2010 that an "official" release, courtesy of Kill Rock Stars, came out. This six track album contains some of their strongest work including "Sharpen The Knife" which mixes rock and analog dub into an act of controlled chaos.
