Deep Cuts: Jazz

Diving Bell Alpine FantasyAustria based Diving Bell (not to be confused with the Seattle prog-rock band The Diving Bell) is a hard to define mix of cabaret, jazz and Americana.

Much like Cincinnati's Over The Rhine they share the similarity of a extraordinarily gifted female vocalist and each of their influences have become so numerous that they become an original combination when performed.

Singer Claudia Schneider's vocals lead out a down tempo orchestral procession featuring saxophone, trombone, piano and double bass in a melodic, moody album called Alpine Fantasy, their first album released from Pharmacy Records released in 2003.
