Deep Cuts From Bloggy's Vault: Industrial

Ministry's A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste
Al Jourgenson's Ministry was an outfit so good that they practically defined their own genre of industrial music. Using cuts from Full Metal Jacket, Chuck Connors out-takes from youth propaganda films, volcanic guitars, driving basslines and wild, distorted vocals that raged against cow-eyed conformity, mindless passivity and vapid consumer culture the band railed against injustice and stream-lined warfare. Ministry was an underground slugfest of a band that regurgitated decades of pop culture back onto itself in a volcanic form of audio purification.

Ministry, formed in 1981, officially broke up in 2008 after spending over 25 years of defining industrial music.
